Miradas ecofeministas desde Guatemala  / The ecofeminist gaze from Guatemala

This exhibit stands as the Centro Cultural de España’s response to the growing global interest to merge efforts and actions in the fields of environmentalism and feminism.

Curated by Rossina Cazali, ‘Del arte, la naturaleza, y las mujeres’ covers the work of 18 women artists, ranging from the late XVII century and extending to contemporaneity. This exhibit centers the construction of a national landscape, as well as individual and collective relationships to territory to conceptually question the detonating ideas of ecofeminism.

Ana Werren, Andrea Monroy Palacios, and Jamie Denburg Habie present their unique perspectives as part of the artist roster featured in this exhibit.

Del arte, la naturaleza y las mujeres is open. to the public from august 3 to november 2 2024 at the Centro Cultural de España en Guatemala (6ta. Avenida 11-02 zona 1, Centro Histórico – Edifico Lux, segundo nivel. Guatemala City).
