Manuel Chavajay in Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue

Curated by Laura Augusta for the Rubin Center @ UTEP

Beginning with the US Farm Crisis of the 1970s, Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue traces de experiences of farming—specifically of small-scale, family farms—in relation to the US foreign policy in Central America during the 1980s. This exhibition weaves a story of agriculture and political intervention, as told through the eyes of artists from the Great Plains in the US, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador. (The Rubin Center, 2024).

Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue is open to the public until April 12, 2025 at The Rubin Center @ the University of Texas at El Paso (500 W University Ave, El Paso, TX 79902, United States)
