Manuel Chavajay in Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue
Curated by Laura Augusta for the Rubin Center @ UTEP
Beginning with the US Farm Crisis of the 1970s, Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue traces de experiences of farming—specifically of small-scale, family farms—in relation to the US foreign policy in Central America during the 1980s. This exhibition weaves a story of agriculture and political intervention, as told through the eyes of artists from the Great Plains in the US, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador. Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue is open to the public until April 12, 2025 at The Rubin Center @ the University of Texas at El Paso (500 W University Ave, El Paso, TX 79902, United States)
