“Adan Vallecillo: Tiempo Libre” at the Rubin Center

Congratulations to Adán Vallecillo for his new exhibition "Tiempo Libre" at the Rubin Center at the University of Texas at El Paso! In Vallecillo's first solo exhibition in the United States, the Rubin Center presents a sample of the artist's work from 2010 to the present.

Characteristically rooted in anthropological research, Vallecillo's work recalls the political economies embedded in the natural world. Vallecillo considers the connections between abstraction and the everyday in his work, unraveling the historical ties between Central America and the West.

“Tiempo Libre” will be open to the public from January 25th to April 20th 2024 at the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts (500 W University Ave, El Paso, TX 79902).
